ipa files directly to a connected iOS device, can export media from the Music, Video, Ringtone and Photo libraries as well as the Camera Roll, can import media to all of those except for the Camera Roll, allows writing directly to the Application area of the filesystem, and can browse the App Sandbox. I-Funbox is about being able to fully move everything between your computer and iOS device (yes, they've got a Windows app too).

Over the last ten years, the power of iTunes in the lives of totally normal people has increased exponentially. The following is a list of alternatives to iTunes to transfer content and data to iOS devices (they are not media players). (The following written like a magazine round-up and should be broken up into more encyclopedic pages.) In the 4+ years since, that app has only received minor compatibility updates. This article may require cleanup to meet this Wiki's standards. We appreciate comparisons to competitors, but truly wish there were some better out there! The last time iExplorer received a feature update (according to their blog/release notes) was May 2018. In short, the device-based licensing model allows us to continue to add features to iMazing as they are requested, needed, or developed, without having to hold back improvements for a future “paid upgrade.” We believe this creates a better experience for our users and iMazing’s capabilities.

And you of course continue to receive all updates and upgrades for free with your subscription. For users who would prefer not to worry about counting devices, we also offer an annual subscription model with unlimited device slots. For anyone who purchased iMazing using our device-based licensing model, version 3 will be entirely free if they’re using it with the same device or have a device slot available. We are currently working on iMazing 3, a full overhaul of the app that will be released in 2023. These updates have been free for all paid users regardless of when they bought. Our last paid upgrade, version 2, was released in 2015 and since then we have added 15 feature-adding released (hence 2.15 being the current version). Hello Berry, We made the decision to change our licensing model in 2020 to reflect our continued commitment to iMazing.

Other competing software (such as iExplorer) works just as well, but they do not limit the number of iPhones at all (though, iExplorer does make you pay for a new version of the software every few years when the iOS undergoes a major upgrade).

In fact, when you re-name your phone, iMazing sees it as a different device! You could buy the unlimited annual subscription as a workaround but that's of course pretty expensive. That means I would need to purchase roughly 10 licenses, just to view the backups I've done on my various different iPhones over the years. So even though these phones are all mine (1 person), iMazing sees these as being separate and discrete devices. It's the same account, but a different physical device. So, what is a "discrete iPhone"? Well for instance, I have bought myself new iPhones over the years such as the 6, 7, 8, X, and 11. For instance if you pay for 3 devices, this means you can only backup data from 3 discrete iPhones. However I gave it three stars because the licensing scheme is strange. It does everything it claims to do - and performs very well.
